What Will I See and Do?
On the day of your whitewater adventure, the excitement begins at 7:00 a.m. as you check in with the Hualapai River Runners in the lobby of the Hualapai Lodge in Peach Springs, Arizona (Grand Canyon West). From there, prepare for an exhilarating descent as you board a bus that takes you on a thrilling one-hour journey down the rugged terrain of Diamond Creek Road. As you wind your way down, you'll experience a dramatic drop in elevation, plunging over 2,000 feet into the heart of the Grand Canyon. The adventure truly begins as your motor rafts launch from Diamond Creek, right at its confluence with the mighty Colorado River. Following a brief orientation and gearing up with PFDs and dry bags, you'll embark on the river. Your first stop is Travertine Falls, where you can optionally hike up ropes and ladders to explore a cave. After departing the falls, you'll continue rafting until it's time for a beachside lunch. Post-lunch, you'll enjoy a smooth water float through the Grand Canyon, soaking in the serene landscape. Your journey concludes at Pearce Ferry, where you'll board a bus or van back to the Hualapai Lodge, arriving in the evening.
Where Should I Stay?
Since check-in for this excursion is very early in the morning, we advise against driving for hours to arrive by 7 a.m. Instead, we recommend staying at the Hualapai Lodge the night before and/or the night of your expedition. This ensures you’re well-rested for the full day of activities. The Hualapai Lodge is the only accommodation available in Peach Springs.

These motorized pontoon rafts are 22 feet in length and run on quiet, clean and fuel-efficient outboard marine motors. There will be plenty of moments when you'll quietly float down the river with the motor turned off, while your guide takes you back in time with stories of this historic and magnificent canyon.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received 30 days or more prior to the original trip date will forfeit $75 per person and the remainder of the total amount paid will be refunded. Cancellations received within 29 to 1 day prior to the trip date and/or no shows will forfeit the total amount paid.
Date Changes
After reserving the trip, you may change your trip date one time by paying an additional $35 per person date change fee up to 2 days prior to the trip date. Date change requests received within 2 days of the trip date will be treated as cancellations and will forfeit the total amount paid. Please note, if you change your trip date and need to cancel your trip, the total amount paid will be retained and no refunds will be issued.

What Will I See and Do?
Day One:
Your adventure begins with check-in at the River Running Concierge, where you'll complete paperwork and receive a 3ft. tall dry bag for your personal items. After breakfast, you'll depart from the Hualapai Lodge and travel to Diamond Creek beach. Upon arrival, you'll be equipped with PFDs, paddles, and helmets, and your dry bag will be loaded onto the supply boat.
As you paddle the initial stretch of the river, your first stop will be Travertine Falls, where you can take an optional hike up ropes and ladders to a cave. After exploring the falls, you'll continue paddling downstream, breaking for lunch on a scenic beach. Following lunch, you'll paddle further until you reach the campsite, where you'll set up camp and enjoy dinner amidst the stunning canyon landscape.
Day Two:
After a hearty breakfast, you'll pack up the campsite and depart. The day's journey will take you through smooth water on a motorized raft, with a lunch stop along the way. Continuing downstream, you'll eventually arrive at Pearce Ferry, where you'll meet the bus or van for your return trip. Don't forget to bring your dry bag and personal belongings with you. Your adventure concludes with your arrival back at the Hualapai Lodge in Peach Springs, marking the end of an unforgettable trip.
